IF you haven't done your research on this organization, please take
some time to do it now. You can start at the FBI website; their
"sister" organization "ALF" is listed there as domestic terrorists.
Read the book "The Hijacking of the Humane Movement". IF you can get to
the link at http://www.dandy-lions.com/animal rights.html go read what
is written there.......but you can only get there sometimes as PETA
hires hackers to work on all of the less well to do private sites that
can't afford expensive anti-hacker security.
PETA is an organization that snookers both the well to do and the well
meaning with platitudes; their agenda is relatively hidden, but one can
find it if one goes looking.
They want NO more breeding. They "free" animals at shows to be hit by
cars. They slaughter pets and sling them in the streets for gory
photos............
They have done harm to teenagers and children alike with their "got
beer" ads.
Didn't like "got beer"? How about "got zits"? They want the dairy
industry GONE.
How about the razor blades in the envelopes they sent to lab research
workers to protest animal research? (Despite the fact that their leader
is a diabetic who freely admits her insulin comes from animals...but
that's ok as she isn't "specist"?) PETA wants no more research on
disease to ever be performed on so much as a lab rat bred for it.
They are dangerous. They may well be the end of the show dog as we know
it if we don't recognize them for who they are. They surely were the
end of specific show dogs which they freed at various shows who got
killed in traffic.
It is understandable that kind hearted people can sympathize with some
of their supposed agenda but to support them is to hurt many animals AND
people.
