Greetings List Member...
It is so sad to see how easily we turn against one another...debates when it
becomes personal will have that outcome.
As far as what was written in the newspaper media regarding AKC and the
"Hunte" corp...there are many times that things are placed in the media or
editorials to creative either PR or destruction to an individual and/or
group.
We do know that "puppy mills" in this country and "puupy farms" oversea are
very problematic and heartbreaking to say the least...
We do not know what AKC was going to say to this mass producer of
puppies...I like to wait to see the outcome of their actions before creating
a judgment.
I know they are trying to limit these "mass farmer/breeder" from destroying
the sport of dogs.
I am currently facilitating an ethic course for the dental students...and as
I work through the model of ethical decision making...I alway stress life is
not black or white....there is a lot of gray areas.
I wrote this as my hope for developing "my life's lessons" after my beloved
Father passed away...a man that focused his life on being humane and
ethical...
"What I have learned through my life is to respond in a loving way to others
indiscretions and weakesses, so that, I do not become part of the ongoing
problem. Also to keep my pride in check, so I may grow through exposing,
exploring, and overcoming my imperfections".
We must focus on what we can do to help prevent cruelty to animals...but by
attacking an organizaton without the whole facts is not going to address
this problem. Have you ever thought that is what they want us to do?
There are "good" and "evil"in all groups...this is part of the human
process. We must personally address these unethical individuals in any
organization...not destroy the greater group. By destroying the group we
have fallen for exactly what the "evil" have planned to do. We become a
vehicle for destruction of the "good"...
