Isn't Betty Deemer the person who was the representative from the U.S.
at the Cavalier Congress in U.K.? If so, from what I heard, I would say
she hasn't changed her mind at all.

This is correct Carol, I was there.
Betty, Monique and Linda are still very anti AKC, and (one of them) actually
stated in front of a room full of people, that going AKC caused puppy mills.
Puppy mills have existed from the moment money changed hands for puppies of
many breeds, many many years ago.
Annette states in her comment "others made an issue of it," well the others
were myself and Dale Martin, who were furious that they would ask the USA
club to speak their views and not have a representative from the AKC National
club. It was a VERY ONE SIDED issue. Many others in attendance felt the
same way, but were to shy to stand up and be counted!
So Annette, even though I adore you, and am sorry you and others were
embarrassed, the world congress that put this together should be the ones
embarrassed. As in any political arena, you invite BOTH sides, or NONE.
