No it isn't the same.
Because the dog would be registered with it's Canadian papers.
Just like a dog that is imported from Great Britain could be registered with
AKC and then change hands several times..or even just once and still
CKCSCUSA would allow the import papers to register a litter sired by the
dog.....not sensible.
