But Diane has stated that any dog born in the US that was not registered
with CKCSC can not be registered as a foreign import. If the dog had been
registered with CKCSC originally, then it would get a transfer number when
sold and to be used for showing in CKCSC. If the dog had only been
registered with AKC, then it could not be transferred or registered as an
import, no different than a friend of mine who had purchased an AKC only
dog before realizing that there were 2 different registries and could not
show her dog in CKCSC. Unfortunate for both parties.
The dog that comes over from Great Britain was not born in the states and
therefore is a foreign dog.
