One of the best books on genetics is Padgett's book. You can get it at
www.dogandcatbooks.com

Here is the info on it from their website:
"For more advanced reading, we recommend Control of Canine Genetic Diseases,
by George Padgett. Control of Canine Genetic Diseases includes charts,
graphs and tables on the subject - everything the breeder needs to take a
positive role in enhancing genetic health. This book will help you
understand the mechanics of inheritance, how to predict outcome, and how to
breed away from genetic diseases."

I really like Padgett's book, but my favorite book is actually Frederick
Hutt's Genetics for Dog Breeders , but it is out of print and over
$100 if you can manage to find a copy for sale. Padgett's will give an
excellent overview and is well worth the money.
All the best,
Susan Cochran
