Hi Susan You are correct but unfortunately there a breeders who don't take the same high road. I know this is a new breed for you but those of us who have been doing this for some time know how important these issues are in Cavaliers. I recently heard of a new CKCS breeder who says that "all Cavaliers have heart problems so it really doesn't matter whether you test them or not". That scares me to death.
