Hi Flo..

Not always...<grin>. My girl, Milkeyn Felicity, had a litter of 4 a week
early last Sunday evening and there were no visible signs that she was
ready to whelp. No temp drop, no nesting, no panting...nothing, other than
she had had a slight brownish discharge 2 days earlier that went away. The
only reason that I was keeping an eye on her that day is she had a look in
her eye that made me feel that she was uncomfortable. I decided to keep
her in the living room with me that evening and the first sign of whelping
was the presentation of a waterbag and some major discomfort. That was it.
Of course I ran around collecting all of my whelping equipment, including
my 16 year old daughter, just in time for the arrival of the first baby.

Shelley had 4 blenheim babies....2 girls and 2 boys :)

Kind regards,
Kim
