Kim,
We had a similar experience last week. I had been writing letters
with Roz sitting on my knee.( not easy!) I then visited a sick neighbour for
an hour and when I came back there was a pup on the carpet and Roz was back
on the sofa, still showing no signs of labour.. Thankfully I got it brought
round. The next 2 pups were well and truly stuck and sadly I lost one. The
vet removed the next as the front legs were wrapped round the head and I
brought mum and pup home and settled them. i then went to move the car as I
had left it right beside the front door. Imagine my shock to find a pup on
the car seat! It most have dropped out when I lifted mum and her other baby
in! Thankfully I got it going too. The next pup was stuck and needed help
and the last arrived perfectly normally.. They were 7 days early . Last time
she had 6 perfectly normally and went 1 day over her time having laboured
all night. Pups were the same weight in both litters. This was a whelping I
wont forget!.
