My only concern in all this treatment is that with a grade IV heart murmur and the heavy amounts of steroids - they could do his heart in VERY easily. This happened with a friends Cavalier in the last month. I would think if the vets feel that it could be the immune system that they are being counterproductive by breaking the immune system down with the huge amounts of steroids. Personally if I had seen no improvement the traditional way and there was a chance was immune related - I would seek out a homepathic vet.
