Barb When I spoke to him I suggested that he should visit his local Health Food shop and rather than go down the road of using steroids to look for some Green Mussel tablets (Can't remember the proper name! I'd had them in so long they were well past their sell by date!) My old girl went off her back legs at the beginning of the year in a similar way to the way his dog was doing The vet wanted to X-ray etc but I refused to let him - I felt it was only out of interest and not that he intended to do something. He gave me some steroids which again I didn't use as she has a grade 1 murmur. I put her onto the Green Mussel tablets and within the week her mobility was almost back to normal. She is plodding around now not having anything in the way of medication (really must get some more tablets incase it happens again!!)
