Carol - Camelot Farms sells a progesterone testing kit that your vet can use in house and obtain an immediate result. It is not terribly espensive and I beleive that if the blood is centrifuged (rather than allowed to settle for a biref time) the result is almost immediate. It might not be as accurate as sent out tests, however, because of it's timely results it might be more useful in your situation.
