I thought that example might paint a clearer picture of the concept of "kennel blind 
and making excuses". I thought it was kinda funny too, but then again I am very easily 
amused. As for the difference between the BYB and a breeder who should know better. 
Well, I feel sorry for the byb, their heart is in the right place they just want 
puppies from their beloved "Fluffy" and think that "Spot" down the street is sweet and 
the same breed, what luck. However, I have absolutely no tolerance for the breeder who 
should know better and chooses to make excuses through their kennel tinted glasses. 
Those characteristics "type" if you will are what make a breed a specific breed and 
not another. Quoting from Pat Trotter's book..."Breed for type, cull for
soundness." Even the mill puppies sold in pet shops in my breed are immediately 
identifiable as such. They are rangy, leggy, and have long narrow muzzles and heads 
and we all know the millers aren't selecting for squat.
