Yes, I would think that breeding type to type would help lock in type but I
would think a lot also depends on the pedigrees???  It's probably just as
important to know the type behind the pedigrees as well?  If it's an
outcross you could get anything at anytime and end up with generations later
of Cavaliers that do not look like the original breeding stock generations
back?  I would imagine that breeding can be real tricky if you don't know
the dogs behind your pedigrees.
