I could not agree more, Anne. I have placed pups with people with children, but only if the children are well behaved and Mom is at home. I do not place any pup of either of my breeds,Cavaliers or greyhounds, with families with young children unless the parents want the dog. I am leery about people who are looking for a pup for their young child, unless the family is a "doggy" one. Some of my greyhound friends buy Cavaliers for their children to have for Jr. Showmanship. That's OK when I know the whole family is into this sport as a group. I don't let my pups go to young children otherwise.
