Suze,
There is not much you can do but observe. Head trauma would certainly cause
seizures (from the falling brick?). How old is this dog? There are so many
variations of seizures, some of them so mild that vets look for other causes,
not thinking about focal seizures. For example, I heard about a dog who kept
lifting one front leg and staring at the wall and screaming. The vet thought
it was a back problem. Somehow, between a bunch of breeders trying to help
this lady, we figured out that the dog was actually seizuring. The lady put
her dog on phenobarbitol and it solved the problem. I would not do anything
with your dog except watch him/her closely. If he continues to seizure
monthly, weekly, every two months etc it is probably epilepsy.

I had a boarding dog once - young, tiny little scrap of a bitch from
disreputable breeding (pet shop puppy) -- who seizured twice in the first week
I had her here. Calling the owners, I found she had already seizured prior to
this and I had to have her with me for a month!! Yikes! Couldn't put her out
with my dogs as I was terrified she would seizure out there and they would, in
typical pack dog instinct, put her "our of her misery". Not sure that they
would do this but couldn't take a chance. She never seizured again while she
was here so I guess it could have been stress from being in another
environment. Don't know what happened after that.

Good luck,
Anne
