I don't much care about embarrassment in the conformation ring -- when you have
completed an obedience healing sequence with a dog attached by its teeth to
your pant leg, there is not much that can embarrass me!!! I worry much more
about what will happen to the puppies -- where will they go? Will they be
bred? How will they be bred and how will THEIR puppies be sold. My kennel
name is on that pedigree for three generations and unwittingly, puppies can be
sold by unsuspecting, very charming, new people to the breed to the likes of
Puppy Palace etc etc. Not my fault -- it is true, but nonetheless my kennel
name would be there, in black and white. I have known too many pedigrees where
well known breeders' dogs (from UK and from the USA) have come up time and time
again.
