Greetings List Members... I feel that judging our "brothers and sisters" across the ocean is in very bad taste...They are under a hardship regarding testings and have opening stated this.
Remember they have given us our wonderful foundation... I do not see any true solutions being offered...other than having a vet take the radiographs and having them view them. These vets are not experienced or trained in positioning a moving unsedated dog for HD diagnostic radiographs...they are trained to use general anesthesia to obtain correct positioning. I personally frown on radiation being delivered to a dog under such random conditions for non-diagnostic purposes. Remember the ALARA (As low as reasonably achieveable) principle...this is a mandate to healthcare professions that radiation should be only be delivered under true diagnostic or therapeutic guidelines. To judge does not serves any purpose...that is why we are viewed the "ugly americans". But... we are ugly to others within our own borders. I greatly dislike division that does not serves any true purpose. Let us work together!
