Hi all, I was away from the list for a few days and have getting eye strain trying to catch up! We had a reception here over the weekend to celebrate my son's graduation from the University of Texas - Austin and this is a simple recipe for Buffet Meatballs I found on the internet and it was a big hit, and not just with the Cavaliers that hung out with me while I cooked!
TANGY BUFFET MEATBALLS 2 lb. ground beef 2 eggs tsp. salt c. oatmeal, uncooked 1/3 c. chili sauce SAUCE: 1 c. chili sauce - c. grape jelly Combine meatball ingredients, mix well. Shape to form 1 inch balls, bake on a rack in a shallow baking pan at 400 degrees for 15 - 17 minutes. Combine sauce ingredients in a 4 quart dutch oven. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until mixture is well blended. Add the meatballs and continue cooking 3 - 5 minutes or until heated through. Transfer to chafing dish/fondue pot to serve. Makes about 5 dozen appetizer meatballs. Take care and happy holidays, Jackie ========================================================"Magic Commands": to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL to start it up gain click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance.
