It's an either or situation. If the hooded culture is negative, then we are fine with that. Baytril is a good, broad spectrum antibiotic and will work again Mycoplasma and other organisms as well. The Mycoplasma is a silent disease but can easily make your dog sterile. A five day run will give a good bit of protection against most organisms. It isn't a long enough run to cure the bitch if they have something, but it is long enough to make it so that she isn't contagious. I suppose that we are reacting like people act when they have a much loved and beautiful, typey boy turn up sterile one day without any explanation, and no known cause. Makes you think differently.
