Hi Myra,

I am just getting caught up to speed on all of the emails...tis the season
to be busy..LOL!

Why do you require a postdated check before puppies come? I know myself, I
hate to put any kind of pressure on myself in the event that I am having
trouble deciding which pup to keep and how to place any of the others. Is
this common practice? With my recent litters, I won't even discuss puppies
with people until they are old enough for me to decide if there is show
potential there or if they will be pets (of course mismarks do make that
decision easier...but not always..<G>). I only start taking names of
interested people once I am sure that I will have something available for
them, which is frequently not until the pups are 5-8 weeks old.

I am not trying to snack on you..<VVBG>...I am just curious as to whether
or not this is common practice with other breeders??? What if you decided
that you wanted to keep all of the pups in a small litter....do people get
really upset? I guess, that I just hate disappointing people, so I just
refer people on to others until I am sure that I will have something for
them.

Additionally, we prefer to have a post dated check
>written that we hold until puppies arrive. If there are no pups, the check
>is destroyed and the breeding is considered to be null and void, with no
>further responsibility on either party's part.
Kind regards,
Kim
