Cathy, a bitch fails to get pregnant from a breeding and she is bred to
another dog the next season and suffers from uterine inertia requiring a

situation?

Patricia, why wouldn't the bitch go back to the original male for her next
breeding? Uterine inertia can occur as a one time thing and never occur
again. Could be number or size of pups or even their placement in the
uterus. If it was a continuing thing then I would probably spay the bitch
but not because it happened once.
