Cathy, I normally would not have allowed Flirt to have another litter, but
her pedigree was too good to do this and she was too nice a dog herself. I
decided to take my chances and this time it played out well for us since
whatever caused the inertia in that first litter does not appear to have
been hereditary. Flirt had other genes that were undesirable that were
hereditary--  the chocolate gene comes from her-- but her health genes were
superior. She was half Kilspindie and half Kindrum and gave us some
gorgeous, healthy babies.
