The digital camera thing- well I have read alot about them and purchased a mid range one for my husband. It works great for most things that either of us do but diabling the flash and using professional lighting setups don't work with the less expensive models. Most of the cameras under the $300 work great and when you get below $150 then there starts another set of problems. I think the fugi makes the best use of technology and keeps the cost down as well as having descent optics incase you want to get realy crazy and make a wall sized back lit advertisment or something and it is small.
