It really is true that they gain weight quickly and easily. Most of our adult dogs eat one chicken wing per day with a spoon full of veggie mix and a very small amount of kibble as crate treats during the day. Some of the ones who have a tendency to gain weight, eat a bit less than that and some eat more. Nursing moms eat up to 8 chicken wings a day plus other foods, but they never lose weight nor coat as long as they eat the raw diet, even with litters of 8 pups. Myra Savant
