I don't really know.  I do know that dogs should not lose weight too fast,
or it is unhealthy.  The vet should be able to tell you how fast he should
be losing, though.  I also should have said that I give my 9 lb. puppy more
than I give my older girls, and he is a good weight for his build.  He is
very active and full of energy (and himself) though!

According to the Innova bag, a 25 lb. moderately active dog should get 1.32
cups a day.  I would cut that in half and feed that amount, which is .66
cups.  I would not feed over 3/4 cups probably.  Of course, judging by how
he looks, acts and feels is a better way of telling.  The bags seem to
always overestimate the amount of food.
