My 2 boys just had their microchipping done today. One is 2 1/2, the other was being
done while he was neutered.... Being needle phobic, I didn't look at the
needle, but the whole thing took about 2 seconds-literally!! He did yelp, but no more
than he does for a shot or heartworm test. (He's a baby at the vets- yelps
at everything. I swear part of it has to be because when he cries he gets more
attention and treats from the vets and techs.) And as the tech pointed out, his
tail never stopped wagging! My vet said many of the cats they microchip usually don't
feel it, even though the needle is large. The second she was done he seemed
happy and was giving kisses, so I don't think the whole thing was very tramatizing.

I do remember reading that you should send the microchip number to the CKCSC....does
anyone know who or where you send that info? Thanks

Sarah
