I know things are viewed differently in the US than they are here but I
personally see no harm in it. I am sure that the club members concerned are
going to keep their dogs well out of sight and no doubt the seminar will be
discussing Cavaliers in general terms and not specific dogs.
Quite honestly if you have been showing and judging for a few years you know
what dogs people are campaigning and the fact that they are known to you or
you have had dinner with a group of exhibitors the night before just does
not enter into the equation once you put your "judges hat" on - you are
judging the dogs on the day not the exhibitors.
I think I would feel a bit insulted if I thought for one minute that who I
ate with or talked to the day before was going to be viewed as influencing
my judging decisions.
Just my opinion of course - incidentally the judges at our Champ show
usually attend the dinner the night before our show VBG
