>I just was looking at the premium for the Phoenix show and I noticed >that the seminar on Friday is with the Judges and three of our members >who are showing their dogs the next day.
To those same judges? Are the dogs themselves being used in the seminar? At our Briard National in 2001 I had my dogs entered in the Parade of Titleholders & also entered the following day in BOB & Veterans. The Parade followed the judging of the regular classes & people were getting their dogs pictures with the judge in the same room the Parade was in. Any dogs entered the following day were not allowed to go in the Parade line up until the judge left the room. It made an event that is usually well organized & flows from the older dogs to younger dogs very unorganized as we who had dogs entered had to wait back. It disrupted the event & in reality I doubt the judge would have noticed the dogs in the Parade event going on at all. I was told the rules state, etc. I also had the experience of a friend who was helping show one of my Briards while I was recovering from knee surgery not be able to at the show that was at her kennel club. She was in charge of driving the judges too & from and so wasn't allowed to be visible in the ring on that day. Thats my few kibbles worth on this subject.
