She is five generations down, but the pedigree goes back to Basil. Every tri that I have ever had from one of his distant descendents, regardless of how distant, has that same head marking and heavy back markings.
Actually, this is surprising since Emme has much deeper linebreeding to Rose Mullion (11%), Flirt (17% -- she was my girl who lived to be 15+) and Andy Capp (about 16%). The linebreeding to Basil is only 6.25% and he is closer in the pedigree than these others (the closer they are, the less the high percentage means). Just goes to show that some dogs stamp their mark on their descendents and have a higher input than others. Basil is only in her 10 generation pedigree 4 times while Rose Mullion is in the 10 generation pedigree 80 times.
