Yes, but I started with dogs that were linebred to Andy Capp and never got the consistent tri markings that I have with any tri dog that has a cross back to Basil, no matter how distant. Andy Capp didn't stamp his markings on his descendents like Basil has done. I used a Basil grandson several years ago and every tri puppy descendent from that cross, no matter how far down the chain, has had the same look. Frequently, they have the black down the back legs as well although Emme doesn't have it down to the hocks as they usually do. I could show you photo after photo and all have the same look--- all going back to a grandson, not any closer than that.
Also, I have found something similar in anything blenheim that goes back to Salador blenheims. It's the color going down on the elbow. This is not quite as consistent as the tri markings, but happens often enough and usually to the best puppy in the litter.
