I think people are giving Basil too much credit for markings. I do not own a drop of his blood in my line, but I did own a Celtic Dirk ( Basil's sire) daughter. Her descendant's produce the same markings and that prominent black leg. And Rose Mullion is right behind Dirk. So though I automatically thought that something Homerbrent/Homeranne and their heavy markings were what Susan was getting at, I do believe her linebreeding percentages to Rose Mullion were more correct.
