I think anything over ten years is reasonable - I think that 12 seems to be a critical age - if they get past that they seem to plod on for a few more years. However with some oldies that I have seen I would question the quality of life that they have. Before anyone shoots me down I am well aware that there are exceptions to this - I have had a couple myself! I suppose I think ten as being reasonable because I have not had one die under that age and the one that was ten I had put to sleep because she had cancer. Touch wood and whistle I have not had one yet die of MVD though I know of ones that I bred who have but all have been over ten - now that I've written that you can bet your bottom dollar it will happen VBG
