I also agree with all who believe in thin after retirement. Or should I say for all Cavaliers. I hated seeing all the fat pet Cavaliers at our Cav-O-Ween party.
My 11 yr 4 month old Lili is thin and still loves to compete in the excellent level of agility and open level of obedience. Her eyes don't sparkle like they used to. She doesn't hear as well as she used to, but we have adapted our training and performances to compensate for that. She still loves going to dog school and hates it when I work my other dog Nani and she has to watch. I do treasure every day, week and month that we have together knowing that anytime between 10-12 yrs she could go.
