Myra, take a reality tablet! Of course we know we need pet people. And it is awful
that there are
so many Cavaliers and all breeds that need rescue, and lovely that there are people
willing to take
those dogs in.
My point is that the next time you need help with one of your problems, call up
your friendly
pet owner and see if they can give you some helpful advice. Let your pet owner friend
tell you
which dogs to breed to, how to know what day to expect puppies (for real, not from a
chart), and how
to keep your dog in one piece until you can get to the vet when it's been chewed up by
a loose large
breed dog.
Call your local pet owner to ask advice when expecting a large litter...
I'm sure their advice will be very helpful. Call one of them to ask what to do about
a swimmer,
since you very obviously have no respect for your fellow breeders...oops, except the
ones who think
as you do. As I pointed out before, all that is required to draw fire from you is to
disagree.
Winnie is a very nice person...I've met her and she is fun and loves her dogs.
She's welcome to
visit anytime she's in the area. But I don't breed for Winnie, I breed for me...and
not Winnie or
anyone else who doesn't breed is invited to give me advice about how to run my
breeding program. If
you want to breed with the goal in mind of producing healthy pets, that's fine, it is
one of my
secondary goals./ However, my primary interest is in show dogs...not in drug sniffing
dogs, not in
trick dogs, not in pet dogs, not in performance dogs. Yes it is nice that some will
be asked to do
those things. That's fine, and I have no problem with people who want to breed dogs
to do all those
things. As for me, I want to breed SHOWDOGS, and those that don't qualify are, so far
as I am able,
eminently qualified to serve as healthy, loving pet dogs, without my aim being to
breed pets.
Don't bother replying...in future I will just delete anything from you, since you
are determined
to insult me and every other Cavalier owner on this list who doesn't worship at the
same shrine as
you do.
