> I have always heard that Cavaliers should be stacked naturally, but I ended up stacking them both ways, never feeling very comfortable stacking them on my knees but sometimes doing it anyway that way because that's the way most of the pros were doing it -- and winning points! And some of those whom I observed doing this were well versed in showing, even judging Cavaliers. I won't do it again next
Janice, I have been showing a Cavalier for a little over two years and other breeds for ten. My personal feeling is that each breed should be shown as per the tradition of the breed. I respect those who came before me and feel they know best. I think many of the pros do a great job but it seems few care about the history of the breed itself. They get into a "generic" presentation mode for all their breeds. I will always show my Cavalier standing and will never trim. I strongly support those impt. issues in the breed. If you have a nice representative of the breed, it will finish in good time no matter how many pros are in competition.
