Chris, I am thinking that this is what it is. I've not had experience with
this particular bloodline and since ours are usually born very dark red, it
was startling to see the lemon white. That is exactly what it sounds like.
The spots were so light at birth that you almost couldn't see them. They
have darkened in the three weeks since then, but have a long way to go
before they are the correct dark red. The pup is one of a litter of four and
his littermates are all BTs so it makes it even more apparent. He's the
puppy that we made the breeding to get, a parti male, so we're sort of
"nervous nellies" about him. Otherwise, he is a lovely pup with good head
and good length of back (not too long)--- fat and sassy.
