Jeanie, that is what I suspected as the Blenheim grandfather of this puppy
was a very  rich chestnut. His mom is a BT so we didn't experience the
newborn color with the first cross and I saw the grandsire as an adult.  I
suspected that it must be like buffs in Cockers. Many puppies are registered
as Buff and they turn out to be dark Reds.
