My thoughts are that very few judges get past the bite if it's off. You can be the most outstanding dog in the ring but if the bite is off, most judges will pick a lesser dog for winners. If the bite is off, I place it as a pet. If the puppy's bite was good and then goes off when the permanent teeth come in, I will run it on but I will not show it unless the bite is scissors.
