In a show in liberty park years ago a judge spent a long time going back and
forth between my Holly and another entry trying to decide on best of breed.
Holly and I are very close and in the ring she locks eyes with me sometimes
and is absolutely a statue. After some time the judge gave the breed to the
other dog. As we were leaving the ring he stopped me and told me he really
liked my dog and may have given her the win except she showed no emotion as
the temperment is described. i.e. she was too much of a statue. I would
enter under this judge again in a heartbeat even though I lost as he clearly
was trying to enforce the standard. We need more like this.

As a side note I would be very curious if the big name breeder behind the dog
Jimmy Moses hard stacks has ever tried to tell him how improper that is for
the breed. If not it is a real shame.
