Dave,
I fail to see why your rehoming of your alaskan malamute is more
acceptable than a cavalier breeder rehoming an older dog that is not doing
well in a situation with many other dogs? I think most cavaliers adapt very
well given time, and I think we all look for as good or better of a
situation than you described for your Alaskan Malamute for our cavaliers
that , for whatever reason, need to go. If there is anything I have learned
, it's NEVER to say " I would NEVER......". I believe that most people who
are on this list must care about and be gaga over cavaliers, otherwise why
would they spend time deleting all the stupid crap on here to get to the
good stuff? I believe that most people make decisions that are best for
them, their family and their dogs, and frankly, the dogs should be last in
that order of importance. They are dogs - just that. Real life just is not
as moralistically black and white as some would like it to be. And...... we
all make mistakes- that is the way we learn.
