Hello to all, I would like to thank all of you who wrote and gave me advice on ways to help my Susie. I am on cloud nine to report that she has totally recovered from her paralysis. Last Thursday things had not gotten any better for her. My vet had run all sorts of tests to try to figure out what was wrong. Our plan was to take her to a specialist on Monday for a MRI if she was not better. I believe that there is a greater power than ourselves who is willing to help us if we ask. Around 2 Am Friday morning I woke up and decided to write Karen Bernstein to see if her husband, Larry Bernstein, could help me with her problem. I have never gotten up in the middle of the night to write to anyone but I felt it was something I had to do. Around 10 AM on Friday morning I was able to reach Karen by phone. She asked me to send Larry details of what had happened to Susie and he would call me around 3:30 in the afternoon. At 3:30 when Larry and I spoke for the first time he told me that he was sure it was related to the micro chip. At this time Susie was still at my vet's hospital. He gave me the names of the remedies that I needed to get for her. He and I both felt that I needed to get Susie home and start the remedies as soon as possible. I went to the vet's office to talk to her about bringing Susie home. She felt that it would not be good for her to come home so I left and came home without her. I talked to Karen when I got home and told her my vet didn't want to release her but I would go again in the morning to talk to her about bringing her home. Saturday morning, I went to my vet and stated simply that I wanted to take her home and would she please not say "NO." I think my vet felt we were going to have to put her to sleep and she knew I wanted Susie with me. I did not tell her my plans for giving her the remedies as I knew she would not understand. When I got home I called Karen to let her know I had Susie home. I talked with Larry and he explained what he wanted me to give her. I started the remedies and by the time she had gotten 4 doses in her I could see improvement. Saturday night I gave her a dose before she went to bed and she slept all night without making a sound. When I took her out on Sunday morning she was much better. She could actually walk. She still fell down and was very wobbly but she was walking. I can't thank Karen and Larry Bernstein enough for their help. My Susie went from a dog who couldn't keep her head from shaking to a dog who could run by Sunday afternoon. If I had not seen it I would not have believed it. I have used remedies on my dogs before but I have never had a case such as this one. Larry felt she had suffered trauma when the chip was put in. As soon as we started treating her for the trauma she started getting better. Late Sunday afternoon I e-mailed my vet to let her know we would not need to go for an MRI as Susie was so much better. Today, Susie is running and playing in the yard. You would not know that she had been so sick. I am sorry this is so long but I wanted to let everyone know that it was the micro chip that caused all the problems. Little Susie is my miracle puppy. She survived losing her mom before she was 3 weeks old and now she has gotten well from the paralysis.
I can't thank Larry and Karen enough for their help. They brought Susie back from a dog who had no control of her body to a dog that can run and play. I look forward to many happy years with Susie.
