Cheryl: The most I have ever heard of is a chip migrating and maybe a little soreness for a day or two afterwards. We are very careful to have proper restraint ....puppies wiggle and wriggle ....most of mine don't even yelp although occasionally someone does for about 10 seconds but usually a treat fixes that.
