Cheryl, I talked to Karin and she said if the chip did not go between the shoulder blades it could move. I believe this one was not put in between the shoulder blades but below the spinal cord on the right side. I don't know if Susie moved and caused the problem or if the person putting it in wasn't careful. Karin also told me she would not put one in a puppy who was younger than 7 or 8 months old. I will wait until they are older from now on. Carolyn
