Hi List, I am writing to ask if anyone on the list knows anything about Cavalier teeth besides the fact that they have them and they get dirty. The topic of missing teeth came up recently in a different discussion and got me thinking. Does the Cavalier breed have an issue with missing teeth? I have read that they should have 42 teeth like most breeds. Which are most likely to be missing? Are they still bred? Do judges check dentition? And last but not least, what does the standard mean by weak teeth? That is clear as mud to me. I am not asking about bites-I "get" that!
I look forward to any input I can get on this issue. I am not on a witch hunt. I am not asking anyone to admit that they have had missing teeth I honestly know nothing about this in this breed. Is this a non-issue due to the more serious issues such as the heart?
