We had a girl at one time who was missing two of her middle bottom teeth. A boy of the same breeding, but a different litter, was also missing the same two teeth. In CKCSC, she placed and won ribbons, although not big wins, but in AKC, the judges asked twice if the tooth fairy had made a visit. I think that congenitally missing teeth can be an issue in certain lines, in the same way that human children can have extra teeth and be in the same family. Also, don't know if this is applicable or not....but in that big litter of nine that we had last summer, several of those pups had retained puppy canines. Myra
