they have them and they get dirty. The topic of missing teeth came up
recently in a different discussion and got me thinking. Does the Cavalier
breed have an issue with missing teeth?  I have read that they should have
42 teeth like most breeds.  Which are most likely to be missing? Are they
still bred? Do judges check dentition? And last but not least, what does the
standard mean by weak teeth? That is clear as mud to me.  >

Hi Jan,
The Cavalier does not have an "issue" with missing teeth but I have see
missing teeth once or twice.
Premolars, lower jaw.
If the Cavalier was very nice I would not eliminate it from my breeding
program.
Weak teeth are very small, loose, and/or crooked.
