I have read that they should have 42 teeth like most breeds. Which are most likely to be missing? Are they still bred? Do judges check dentition? Hi Jan, The Cavalier does not have an "issue" with missing teeth but I have see missing teeth once or twice. Premolars, lower jaw. If the Cavalier was very nice I would not eliminate it from my breeding program. Weak teeth are very small, loose, and/or crooked.
