I think the founders of this club went out of their way to put time and
thought into how to limit the number of voting, full privelage members from
growing to fast to the point where the core group would have their ability to
mold the club the way they wanted by being outvoted delayed as far as
possible into the future.

I think the thought to some was that this would force people to become
familiar with the club and breed gaining more knowledge and experience before
being able to actually vote on club changes.

I think to others it was to keep what they saw as "the pet owners" from
joining up and taking over as some may feel they did in the old club.

Since you can compete in the AKC sanctioned events without being a member I
vote with Pam  ... its not worth the bother to join at this time.
