I do know of someone whose Cavalier was bred 2 times and didn't conceive so they went the surgical route. The procedure wasn't too complicated. They collected the dog first, removed a lot of the prostatic fluid, put it in an extender in a syringe and set it aside. The bitch was anesthesized. They made an approximate 2 inch incision and pulled out the entire uterus. The uterus was examined carefully and one very large cyst was found right by an ovary which they popped. The semen was then inserted with a syringe. The bitch was closed up and went home. Result--5 puppies 9 weeks later born naturally and very healthy.
