I have not had one done on one of my girls, but I have witnessed one on a different breed. The bitch did conceive. They have to fully anesetize the bitch. They then make an incision into the abdomen and take the uterus out and lay on the belly. They inject 1/2 of the sample into each uterine horn and then sew up the bitch as in a c-section. This breeder has Mastiffs, she has done 2 or 3 litters. I think all litters produced at least 8 puppies.
